The Origin

A Legacy Born from Purpose

Where It Began

Legacy International Coaching and Training Academy was founded on a simple but powerful observation: organisations rise or fall on the quality of their leadership. Yet across Africa and the broader global south, access to world-class leadership development remained limited, expensive, and often irrelevant to local contexts.

Our founder, having spent over two decades navigating leadership roles across the public, private, and social sectors, saw an opportunity — and a responsibility — to build something different: a coaching and training institution that combined global best practice with deep cultural intelligence.

“We don’t produce graduates. We produce leaders who go back into their organisations and communities and make others great.”

From that founding conviction, LICTA has grown into a full-service leadership academy trusted by thousands of individuals and hundreds of institutions across more than a dozen countries.
